The main part of this collection is made with Woolpower’s own material, knitted Ullfrotté. This unique merino wool blend is durable, highly elastic, and features soft terry loops on the inside that create an insulating layer of air against the skin. It helps retain body heat, wick away moisture, and provide itch-free comfort.
Ullfrotté comes in different thicknesses, each designed for a different purpose. You’ll find different numbers in the product names (200, 400, and 800).
Ullfrotté 200
The thinnest weight of Ullfrotté, used in the Crewneck 200 and Long Johns 200. Perfect for wearing as a base layer closest to the body. By tucking your long johns into your socks, you can easily wear them under your breeches.
Ullfrotté 400
A thicker weight of Ullfrotté, used in the Halfzip 400 and Vest 400. Designed for use as a mid-layer to provide exceptional warmth. On extra-cold days, you can also layer the Crewneck 200 with the Halfzip 400 or Vest 400 for extra insulation.
Ullfrotté 800
The thickest weight of Ullfrotté, used in the Socks Classic 800. Perfect for extra-cold winter days. Due to their thickness, they fit best in roomy work, winter, or hiking boots.
