If you’ve ever wondered who’s responsible for Influencer Marketing at Maya Delorez, here’s the answer: it’s our star Elin! 👏 In early 2021, she joined Team MD, and has since been dedicated to building and managing our partnerships with team riders, ambassadors and influencers.

Some of Elin’s defining qualities are her positive mindset, driven personality – and how she is always down for a good laugh. As if that weren’t enough, she’s also a real star baker, providing us at the office with delicious goodies from time to time. Well you see, definitely not a boring colleague!

Hi Elin! Do you want to start by telling us a little bit about yourself?
“My name is Elin, I’m 23 years old and I live in Stockholm. At the moment I have a horse which I train both jumping and dressage. I grew up on a farm with horses, so riding has always been very natural for me! Apart from a horse, I also have a dog. So I spend most of my free time with my animals, and if there is some time left, I like to go to the gym.”

How come you started at Maya Delorez?
“I had been a model for Maya Delorez on two occasions and couldn’t quite let go of the incredible team that stood behind the brand, everyone was so driven, friendly and seemed to have so much fun at work. Shortly thereafter, I was looking for a new job, so I sent a DM on Instagram to Madelene, it was all very spontaneous. Madelene answered and we met for an interview.

The position she could offer was Influencer Coordinator – which fit me like a glove. That’s how it came about!”

What does a normal day at work look like for you?
“Every day can look very different. But generally speaking, there’s a lot of planning around campaigns and launches, lots of emailing, prospecting for new influencers and then even more emailing haha. Recently I also travelled to the Netherlands and Germany to meet some of our Team Riders and Brand Ambassadors.”

How has your position changed since you started at MD?
“Oh, it has changed a lot! When I started, there was no one who was actively working with Influencer Marketing. So I started from scratch, setting up everything myself, finding relevant influencers, testing different strategies and so on. Nowadays my work revolves mostly around managing and developing what I built up last year and finding even better solutions and strategies.”

What is the most fun part about your job as Influencer Marketing Coordinator?
“The best part of my job has to be that I get to talk to so many different people every day, from Olympic riders to influencers with hundreds of thousands of followers, who all love Maya Delorez.”

Favorite memory since you started?
“Hmm, it’s very hard to only choose one. I have lots of fun memories with my colleagues, haha! But the highlight has to be when my colleague Antonia and I went to the Netherlands and Germany to meet some of our Team Riders and Brand Ambassadors. Having that opportunity after a year of mostly emailing was so wonderful.”
